I am a qualified teacher passionate about helping children reach their full potential
As a primary school teacher, I’ve come to appreciate how crucial the foundation of learning is—especially the transition from preschool to Big School. This is a massive change and a significant milestone in a child’s life.
As a private tutor, working one-on-one and with small groups, I’ve seen the transformative impact of personalised learning. Tailored support builds confidence and sets children on the path to success.
I began specialising in handwriting when I realised that schools often don’t teach it as thoroughly as they should. Many of my students would come to me just before sitting exams for secondary school entrance, by which time their handwriting habits were deeply ingrained and challenging to adjust.
This inspired me to create Scribble the Squirrel, a fun and engaging way to help children and their parents build strong handwriting fundamentals. With this foundation in place, children can approach exams like the 11+ without worrying about the legibility of their writing.
My background in music has equipped me to break concepts into small, manageable steps that are easy for children to digest. This ensures they don’t feel overwhelmed and can progress with confidence.
I value communication, trust, and honesty. I believe ,tutors and parents should work together to help children achieve their full potential. Together, we can nurture happy, confident learners ready to take on whatever challenges come their way.

What to Expect:
- A conversation with you, the parent (about 30 minutes): we’ll introduce ourselves, and I’ll answer your questions. We’ll discuss ways I can motivate your child and support their academic progress. (I actively listen to you and adjust my tutoring to your needs.)
- A conversation between me and your child (about 15-20 minutes). Next, I’ll have a fun conversation with your child. It’ll help them feel comfortable and briefly assess their needs. (They are usually excited for us to meet together again!)
- A wrap-up with all of us together (about 10 minutes): it’s essential for me to support the family as a whole. We’ll come together and take care of any unanswered questions.
